Parking in Perth

The closest car parks to us are the multi-storey park in Canal Street, and an open Pay and Display car park in Scott Street. There are many other car parks within walking distance of the Shopping Centre, including the newly converted Pay-on-Exit car park at the South Inch Car Park, and existing Pay-on-Exit at Thimblerow Car Park.

Changes to parking charges and zones from Monday 11 January 2016

On-street parking in Perth

Charges apply 8 am to 6 pm Monday to Saturday.  All 3 Zones allow free parking for a period of 15 minutes – see ticket machines for details

Zone 1 – Inner City Centre

£1.00 for 1 hour (Maximum 1 hour waiting period)

High Street, South Street, George Street, George Inn Lane, South Methven Street, Canal Crescent, Charterhouse Lane, Tay Street (North of Queens Bridge)

Zone 2 – City Centre

£1.00 per hour (Maximum 4 hour waiting period)

Charles Street. Free days

All on-street Pay and Display and Council operated charging car parks are free of charge on Sunday’s along with 1 and 2 January and 25 and 26 December.  Charges apply on all other Bank and Local holidays.

Disabled parking

Free parking spaces exclusively for the use of blue badge holders are provided on various city centre streets and in most Council operated car parks.

Blue badge holders are permitted to park in any Council controlled on or off-street parking bay free of charge.

Blue badge holders may also park at other on-street locations subject to the normal conditions of use of their badges.

Parking overnight tip

If you want to park your car overnight you can pre-pay for parking to cover the following morning. This will to save you having to dash to your car at 8 am to purchase a ticket. The valid period on any parking ticket purchased after 6 pm starts at 8 am the following morning. e.g. a 4 hour ticket purchased any time after 6 pm would be valid from 8 am until 12 noon the following day.
