The Festival of Fudge

Following the success of ‘The Market of Optimism’ in 2009/10, Mischief La-Bas has now set their sights on creating a similarly daft and uplifting interactive public show .

The Festival of Fudge is based on the good old British fascination for ‘home grown’ and ‘local’ culture, the Village Fetes, Farmers Markets, Gala Days and Flower Shows that occur the length and breadth of the land. What better British Product to celebrate than Fudge?

‘Fudge – sweet and homely in its infinite variety, is a home-made product with an inspirational quality that reaches far beyond the pantry.’

Mischief La-Bas celebrate Fudge’s iconic status by introducing the British Public to the characters and local artists currently spearheading the campaign for greater Fudge recognition. On hand to demonstrate during the two-hour festival will be such diverse luminaries as ‘Dreams in Cellophane’ interpretive Dance Troupe, DJ Judge Fudge and of course, Fudge Making Queen - Hilda Cranworth.

Educational, inspirational, and in fact ‘a load of nonsense’ The Festival of Fudge will delight audiences old, young and toothless.

Falls Awareness Week takes place from 20-24 June 2011. This year Perth Royal Infirmary will be in St John's Shopping Centre on Tuesday 21st June to provide a valuable information point for older people who may be at risk from falling.

Falls can cause loss of function, mobility, independence, confidence, and even death. Yet all too often this is accepted as just another inevitable part of ageing.
