Scary Storywriting Competition – RESULTS!

We received well over 100 entries for our competition, all of which showed off the wonderfully vivid imaginations of primary school children across Perth.


We were really impressed with the high standard of our entries, and had a very difficult job in choosing our winners.


Details of our Top 10 Scary Stories below:



WINNER:             Vampire Goldfish, by Eilidh White, aged 9, Dunbarney Primary School

Eilidh’s story was illustrated by the very talented illustrator Charlie Dear and Waterstones kindly gave a £50 voucher (which Eilidh spent right away!):

SECOND PLACE: Bloodlust by George Croudace, aged 10, Abernethy Primary School. George received a £30 Waterstones giftcard
